2018 Entertainers

We are thrilled to welcome the following Performers to Central IL Pagan Pride Day 2018!

THUNDERSIRENS: The Thundersirens is a unique multifaceted ceremony inspired musical group that combines sound therapy, shamanic ritual and a variety of styles of music into their performances. Lead by Shaman Jay, a vibration sound therapist, all the group members are pagan shamanic practitioners who each lead their own rituals, healing ceremonies, or drum circles. Their music draws inspiration from each individual’s healing journeys, devotion to their spiritual work, a variety of different ethnic soundscapes, tribal beats, with blues, rock, folk, and jazz fusion delivery that make their sound powerful and unique.

AL HANDA: Al Handa of Handa-McGraw International. You can find them on the Electric Fog Factory Youtube channel. He’ll be bringing us Instrumental improvisations in American Primitive Music tradition of John Fahey, Sandy Bull & Robbie Basho. Encompassing folk, blues, jazz, world & raga.

Al had been playing music since the 1970’s punk scene and went on to play with greats like Muddy Waters and Chuck Berry.

STYGIAN SISTERS: Stygian Sisters is a belly dance troupe from Champaign, IL which formed through the meeting of several fans of all things metal, and all things belly dance. And so, why not combine the two? The dancers share a dark, tribal fusion style of belly dance, with previous study and experience in all styles.
